Transition described in the legacy record
The core claim was branding. The article stated that second-generation Huawei solar equipment entering Australia would carry the iStore name, supplied under an original equipment manufacturer arrangement. It also described a reduced Huawei presence supporting equipment already in service.
Testing reported at the time found that a specified iStore battery configuration could operate with an earlier Huawei-labelled inverter. The article also stated that historical FusionSolar data did not transfer to the iStore platform in the tested process.
Both observations were model, firmware and platform dependent. Neither is current compatibility advice.
Correction retained from the original article
An earlier version stated that the tested iStore battery and Huawei inverter were incompatible. Testing indicated otherwise for the configuration considered. The article was amended, and that result should not be extended to other models or firmware versions.
