Bulletin, September 2025: battery testing requirements

A historical index of the battery testing matters recorded in the McKercher Corporation bulletin for September 2025.

Historical September 2025 bulletin index covering wiring, inverter and backup-mode testing requirements.

This page indexes testing matters recorded in the September 2025 internal bulletin. It is historical orientation only and does not reproduce the Australian Standards or provide a current commissioning procedure.

Testing topics recorded

The bulletin referred to:

  • verification under AS/NZS 3000
  • grid-connected inverter testing under AS/NZS 4777.1
  • separate testing when a multiple-mode inverter operates in backup mode

The original wording described these as three standards. More precisely, it referred to AS/NZS 3000 and to testing provisions within AS/NZS 4777.1. The technical intent recorded was that grid-connected operation and backup operation require distinct verification.

Historical staff context

The bulletin asked accredited technicians to maintain access to the applicable standards, test backup operation separately and review their testing sequence. Those instructions reflect September 2025 and are not a substitute for current competency requirements, controlled procedures or supervision.

Before work begins, the responsible licence holder must identify the current editions, amendments, regulator directions, network requirements, product instructions and records required for that installation.

Provenance and current-status limits

No copy of AS/NZS 3000 or AS/NZS 4777.1 was retained with the migrated bulletin. It also did not preserve a direct regulator notice or complete test method. The linked testing reference includes retained WA Government sources, but the current controlled documents must still be checked before design, commissioning or verification work.
